2012 mix. Coles has become house music's hottest new property. Listening to her DJ-Kicks mix, it's not hard to see why. This mix is so skillfully put together, it's hard to believe Coles was ever ambivalent about DJ'ing. "I got into production before DJ'ing," she reasons. "I wanted this mix to showcase my diversity," says Coles. "I don't just do one thing and I wanted it to reflect that. Most of the mixes I've put out there so far have been house based, but I also produce stuff under the Nocturnal Sunshine moniker, which is more two-step/bass influenced stuff. This mix evolved into something that wasn't just four-to-the-floor."

Ha venido en caja de plástico, no en digipack como estas ultimas ediciones, el disco...…… pues hay sesiones bastantes mejor de otros artistas, pero bueno como decía, simplemente por completar la colección

Eins Vorweg: Auf der Vinylversion befinden sich nur 8 Track's, die da wären: A1 Hate Me, A2 It's a Crime, B1 Mean't to be, B2 All Alone, C1 Little Helper, C2 No more stories, D1 Analog Tour, D2 Hey Love -- Das ist einerseits schade, denn auf der CD befinden sich ganze 22 Stücke und beim Download sogar noch ein 1h 11min langes durchgehendes Set mit den diversen Nummern zusätzlich, andererseits wären natürlich zur Veröffentlichung von 22 Liedern dieser Länge auf Vinyl eine Menge Scheiben nötig und somit sicher dementsprechend teurer.
Somit ist gerade dies wieder eine Platte die man am besten hier bestellt, denn dann gibts das komplette Album mit allen Tracks und dem Set gratis via Instant Download zum Vinyl dazu.

Zur Musik:
Es ist schlicht eine Hammerauswahl die Maya Jane Coles hier zusammengestellt hat und es sind auch hier keine anstrengenden Nummern dabei, das Album kann man also getrost durchlaufen lassen.
Einzuorden ist es im chilligen, gemäßigten Housebereich (vielleicht mit der Ausnahme von: "Translation Two" von Marcel Dettmann).

she really does release great cds. What is it about her particular style? Dunno, don't care. Music is subjective and I wouldn't expect you to buy this on my say so, so get online and have a listen and then buy it.

This is an extremely well mixed cd. Sure they master this but it still is audibly mixed and i thank dj kicks for that. Tracks vary from deep house to old school acid house. Maya Jane Coles Dj's as well as she produces tracks. And if you're looking for a bit of a change of pace, check this out
